The model i just purchased is a Royal Sovereign 12,000 BTU air portable air conditioner. It comes with a water tank and instructions to fill the tank halfway. Once i attach the tank water immediately leaks out of the exhaust port. What gives?!!!!!

the water has a pump that pumps the water over the exhaust coils to make it run efficently. check you drain on the back it may be clogged. or to full but if it was too full it should have a trip switch that would shut the compressor down to keep it from over flowing. but it may be a bad switch. just a couple of ideas to try hope this helps :0)
