Concern As Many Homes Cannot Be Reached With Oil Deliveries

February 27th, 2010 · No Comments · Uncategorized

The cold weather that has been causing mayhem across the country is now causing more problems for many homes as they find themselves without any heating oil. There has already been one oil company that simply cannot keep up with the oil demands. They are not coping with the sudden increased demand and residents are suffering as a result. And because they had to cancel some deliveries of oil, some residents in Berkshire have been left without any heating oil for over a month.

They have offered sincere apologies to these residents and assured them that they are doing everything in their power to try to get these orders met. There are worries though, that this trend could begin to spread to other parts of the country as the cold weather further tightens its grip across parts of the United Kingdom.

To make matters worse, there was fresh snow falls across some parts of the United Kingdom making roads even more treacherous once the temperatures began to drop again. These treacherous roads are making it dangerous for oil delivery lorries to try to get to some parts of the country.

The weather is having a two fronted attack on oil companies as they cannot keep up with the demands and they are finding it difficult to get the oil out to customers. It is becoming more and more difficult for customers to reach oil companies now as they are being swamped with new orders. Many customers simply cannot get through to place their oil orders.

Drivers of oil delivery trucks have been allowed to work longer hours to try to alleviate the problem by the Department for Transport as the government tries to do all it can. Many people are now worrying about how long this weather is set to continue as many parts of the country were just getting back to normal before fresh snow began to fall again this week.

Heating ones home in the cold months of winter can cost a fair packet. Fuel such as electricity and gas show no signs of coming down in price. Clever people are switching to heating oil as a fuel though. And when this happens they have to ensure the tanks re always full of cheap heating oil to ensure they never run out.
